Pre-K & Kindergarten Enrollment

Pre-Registration for students entering Pre-K and/or Kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year must be completed online.  Please take the time to read this entire page.

Students who attended NC Pre-K do not need to be registered as a new Kindergartener for the new school year.

In accordance with Senate Bill No. 572, a student must be 5 years old before the first day of August to attend Kindergarten. Students may be registered by a parent or court-appointed legal guardian only. 

To attend Pre-K, students must be 4 years old before the first day of August.

Pre-K and Kindergarten pre-enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year is currently OPEN again 4/15-4/19/24!

#2 - Register Your New Pre-K or K student!

This is an online procedure; however, if you need in-person help/access to a computer, that will be available from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM on March 6th, 2024, at the NC Developmental Center building on the NC Primary campus (click for map).

Students must be registered by a parent or court-appointed legal guardian only.

If you are unable to attend on March 6th, please click here or call the Registrar's office to schedule an in-person appointment to receive help. Appointments will be scheduled between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM, M-F.

In order to submit your registration application, click on the appropriate link below to get started online. If your application is not FULLY completed, your student will not be considered for enrollment. Please make sure your application is fully submitted. You will get a confirmation email upon completing your application.

NEW NC Families: please click HERE.

EXISTING NC Families: 

Please log into your Campus Parent Portal account and add your new Pre-K or Kindergarten student to your existing household.

(If you have older students to add to your household for the new school year, that must be done in July.)

#3 - Attend Screening Appointment

The District Registrar will call you to set up your screening appointment if your application is approved after review.

**Incoming Kindergarten students who did not attend NCSD Pre-K must be registered online and attend an in-person screening.**

Appointments will be scheduled between 

8:00 AM and 6:00 PM.


Screenings will take place at the NC Early Childhood Center (ECC) Multipurpose Room. Enter at the ECC entrance on the west side of the building near the softball field.

Please use a computer, tablet, or Chromebook to complete your online registration application. Using a cell phone is NOT RECOMMENDED.  Computer kiosks are available with appointments.  Call the district Registrar at (573) 431-3300, ext. 2003.

If you live with another household, you must make an appointment with the Registrar and bring someone from that residence. He/She must accompany you and sign a waiver under oath and provide necessary documentation that you live in that household.  For more information on this process, please click here for detailed instructions.

The district has the right to request additional proof at any time or to employ other means to verify residency. Under Missouri law, misrepresenting residency is a criminal offense.
