Staff Salary Schedules & Pay Scales

Anyone interested in becoming a substitute teacher must have completed a minimum of 36 semester hours of credit from a regionally accredited, academic degree-granting college or university.  Necessary substitute teacher application along with a state-mandated background check and fingerprinting must be completed.

Please visit the Substitute Teachers page of the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) website for further information. In addition to the 36 semester hours requirement, substitute teachers must participate in a 20 clock hour training that is linked on the DESE website above.
