How will I receive a grade for Second Semester?
Your second semester will reflect the grade you received for the 3rd Quarter. If you wish to improve on your grade, you may request that your teacher grade the work assigned during the 4th quarter. They will figure that into your overall semester grade. Doing so will not cause your grade to do down, it will only help your grade.
How do I make up my attendance and remove the NCs from my transcript
We are waving all attendance make-up requirements for this year. If you had an NC on your report card the first semester, your grade will be reinstated.
Do I have to complete the work the teachers are sending out?
No, but we highly recommend you work through the material. This is provided to make sure you stay connected to the class material and your instructors. At some point we will return to school, either May 1st or next school year. When we do, any work you have completed during the time off will better prepare you to pick back up with your studies. It can also benefit your second semester grade.
Do I still get college credit for my Dual Credit Class?
Yes, if you pass the class. Because of the content required by the colleges, Dual Credit classes will continue with new graded instruction. This work is not optional. Teachers will work to deliver online instruction. Students will continue to receive grades throughout the remainder of the semester. If you have questions please contact your instructor directly.
I don’t have computer access at home. How can I access the classwork?
We have other options available for students in the core area classes. Please email the help desk ( firstname.lastname@example.org ) and we will work to arrange access for you, either electronically or with paper materials.
My chromebook is broken/not working. Is there any one to help?
Email the Help Desk (email@example.com) and we will attempt to work through the problem with you and get you a replacement. But remember, online materials can be accessed through most any device so don’t stop working just because your chromebook is not working properly.

Will I still have to take the EOC tests?
The state of Missouri has suspended all EOC and MAP testing for this school year.
What about my scheduled ACT test?
All test dates are canceled through April. ACT is working on reschedule dates. Once those are available you will receive notification.
Will I have to take finals in my classes?
That will depend on the class and when we return to school. If we come back this year, your class may have a final but it will only be over material that was covered and it would only be counted if it helps your grade. You will not be penalized if you don’t score well.
Are we going to have Prom?
Because of the restrictions on large groups we will not be able to have prom on the scheduled date. We will work with our local health officials in determining if there will be a safe date after the end of the school year to have Prom. The final determination of if/when prom will be held will be made prior to the ending of the school year, May 15th.
I’ve attempted to call the High School office and no one answered. Is there someone there I can speak to?
In an attempt to honor the stay at home order, we are not requiring staff to keep regular office hours. Our staff is continuing to work from home in many cases. The best way to reach someone is to email the help desk (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we can send your request for a contact to the correct person.
Is this going to affect graduation?
As of right now, graduation is still scheduled for May 21st. But we are aware that meeting restrictions could continue and that could potentially affect graduation. If it does, rest assured that we will find an alternative date to celebrate graduation. Our seniors have earned their special day.
Will I still qualify for the A+ Scholarship?
The state of Missouri has allowed several one-time changes to the program. These include:
-Waving the Alg 1 EOC requirement
-Reducing tutoring requirements to 25 hours
-Allowing flexibility of dates and method of tutoring
If you need an A+ Appeal for attendance or discipline those are still required. We will figure out a virtual platform to complete those. Contact Ms. Warren (email@example.com) for specific questions.
Will this affect Project Graduation?
That remains to be determined. If graduation is held on the original planned date, then project grad will proceed as normal. If graduation is postponed it may be difficult to reschedule all the planned activities. Any refunds will be determined at that time.
How do I complete my college applications?
The staff of Student Services are still working. If you have a specific question about a college application please email the counselors and they will be able to assist you. If you need letters of recommendation teachers and staff members will be checking their email and will be able to complete them for you. Please be aware of deadlines. With everyone out of the office it may take a few more days than normal to get everything together. Make sure and allow time for any delays.
