Missouri Government Scavenger Hunt

UNDERSTANDING STATEMENT: Just like the Federal level of government, there are 3 branches to the Missouri state government. They even have the same names! Executive, Legislative, and Judicial.

INTRODUCTION: Have you ever wondered who is in charge around here? Perhaps not, since right now you would probably answer "Mom and Dad are in charge." But what about the state of Missouri? Just who is in charge of the state? Who is making the rules? Who is enforcing them and who is deciding if they are fair? In this scavenger hunt you will be locating information about how the state government is set up in Missouri. You need to be an informed citizen!

QUESTIONS: You will work with a partner to research the branches of government in Missouri. You will need to print out several graphic organizers to help you in this research. The first one deals with the Executive Branch. Click here to download and print the organizer. Once you have printed the document use the following links to help fill in the answers.
